Self reflection and about jobs aso.

.
As a traveling journalist, well, that is what I think of myself to be, most of the time, I get and got to see a lot of places until now.
I have some other jobs to, but I am not allowed to tell you more, you know. I would habe to do something to you aso.
Why do you think James Bond is so succesfull? No, you don´t believe me? Think again, most of the feats he did don´t work with humans, BUT if they where done by a ..., yup, now you are getting it.

sent a friend to a Basketball Match

I sent a friend to a Basketball Match, as I was much to busy that night. Maybe you know him? I don´t think so because he always is at the Basketball matches and dosen´t have much time to go out, though he travels with the team and supports them all the time. What a great job for a bear!

Kegeln

.
Kegeln, is the equivalent of "ninepin", at least the British call it that. It´s not Bowling!
That reminds me of: " Life isn't all beer and skittles.", true, isn´t it? A bit sad, coming to think about it.
Cheers, got to take a swing of this great dark and malty german beer.

Ready. set ....
... go!
I had lot´s of fun, nearly all on my own. Everyone was busy chatting, eating and drinkin´ and so. While no one was watchin´ I rolled a few myself. Though this game is, I must say, for a little fella like meself, quite tricky, specally the aimin´ part of it.

Cheerio lads!

Visit to an xmas bakery, in Saxony

.
I was attracted to this place by the smell, mostly. A great waft of fresh baked bread and bakeries literally hit my nose while i was tagging along to this place. It must have been a xmas bakery, somewhere in Saxony, Germany.

Here I am sitting snuggly on the cold oven with all the freshly baked sandwich rolls, äh, Brötschen, Schrippen, Semmeln or whatever you may call em.

See, they are stored in such nice baskets, ready to be sold.

And here is the real stuff,
yummy SELF made Dresdner Stollen style xmas bakes.

They where baked in the bakeries oven to perfection, but made at a family members home kitchen.

Look at them closely, I am sitting in a basket full of them! I tried dragging it all out but alas, no chance. I just managed to get one ready by sprinkeling powder sugar on it. I did get some help, to get it home, but I wish I had been able to take the whole basket.

I would have been a rich bear, selling it all off in far away munich, or hmm, no, I would not have been able to eat it all by myself, it would have been a huge tummy ache.

We are having some every sunday until christmas eve.

What humans do ...

A while ago I was tagging along, to something humans seem to find very important.
I think us bears, small, large or huge, have something similar, but don´t make such a fuss about it.

I took a break on a sky praising statue, at least that is what it looked like to me.

I still am not sure if these two are contestants for a new computer game, promoting one or if it is this "marriage" thing. They where having a great time though and if us bears had more than salmon or blueberries to feast on in the wild, we would surely adopt this ceremony.

My castle

There was a time when I decided to buy a castle, albeit an old one and a bit on the rickety side. This is it! "Chateau Fleckenstein" (I think this is roughly how they call it.)

I still have issues when driving on my own, which is why I mostly hitch a ride with someone.
By seeing this sppeding ticket snapshot, I guess you can imagine that the police will be a wee bit suprised on seeing me drive, like this. Getting the steering wheel to turn like I want it to and seeing the road ahead all at once, is not easy for me to get done without some genious  adaption techniques.

My French police photo to prove it:

Look, there it is!

Dosen´t it look grand!

Below you can see me at the very bottom, where I start my climb up.

Fewwwee, feels more like mountaineering, than anything else. I should build an elevator to get up.

Oh, look, there is the elevator!

They put it behind the castle wall, so that no one unallowed can use it from the outside. Oh well, security dose have it´s price in sweat, when it comes to this type of real estate property.

This house needs a map for sure, maybe something just a bit smaller would have been more suitable?

Ahh, the top floor room, I wonder when that will be finished? I can´t tell if the building is still in progress or being refurbished. Oh, I forgot, it´s old, so it must be the refurbishing stuff.

One dose need a bite of something, after such a little hike & climb!
A "Flammkuchen" and a nip of wine is just the right thing to have.

I even passed by a patisserie later, to check for something nice to go with the cafe au lait.

Visit to a castle

I was told about "them" going on a trip, to a castle. I said I would gladly come along, as I like to discover old places, as you know.
There where mumblings about it being a "romantic" trip. I ignored that strange word and hope it´s not related to luna-tic or one of those other "-tic" words.

I arrived at the castle gate, after being a bit late getting out of the car, searching for my travel companions.

I knocked on the gates metal door, only then to discover that it was open.

Inside the gate tower, I found a very old stairway and tried to have a look up the tower, but it was locked.

I passed the tower gate, hanging there very menacingly, like big teeth, scary!

I went onwards, checking the
Outer Ward of the castle.

I checked the castles old "pub", which has a huge wooden chandeliere. It was a good lookout, but no help in finding them.

I even looked down the very deeep well and in the little garden, but alas, no one there except some gargoyles.

Around the perimeter walls I went ...

looking out towards and down the river below.

I then decided to head towards the river and towards town, ...

... finally reaching Passau.

Here I took a rest on a fountain, with as many angels, as this town has rivers, as I learned later on.

I passed a Roman city wall ....

... and tried to orientate myself with this picture, standing at the juction of the rivers Donau, Inn and Ilz .

I was so depressed, that I sat down on the guardrail of a high bridge over the river Inn. It was very windy and I nearly got blown off !

At last, I was found and grabbed the helping hand! Saved.
